What Your Gift Can Do
With just $12 (UGX 43,000), you can save a school-going orphan or vulnerable child (OVC) from hunger by covering their food dues for a full term, while $40 (UGX 143,000) can support an OVC with annual tuition fees in lower secondary. A gift of $100 (UGX 360,000) enables Better HAG Uganda to conduct a multifaceted community outreach that includes a public educational talk, free HIV Counseling and Testing services for at least 250 people, 10 focus group discussions, and 5 advocacy dialogues; the same amount can also provide scholastic materials such as books, pens, and geometry sets for 50 OVCs. With a larger gift of $500 (UGX 1,800,000), you can help establish an income-generating project for 10 marginalized women and girls, fostering their economic independence in a way that multiplies benefits over time as more groups are empowered and supported to demand their rights.
